On March 7, 2023 at 5:55 pm, Millburn Police Officer Hunt-Miles responded to a Kilmer Drive residence
on a report of burglary to motor vehicle. The investigation revealed that unknown actors entered a
2020 Porsche Panamera. Nothing was missing from the vehicle at the time of this report. This incident
remains under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.
On March 8, 2023 at 7:12 pm, Millburn Police Officer Zonn responded to a Parkview Drive residence on
a report of attempted burglary to motor vehicle. The investigation revealed that at 7:05 am, unknown
actors attempted to enter a 2015 BMW X5. Nothing was missing from the vehicle at the time of this
report. This incident remains under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.
On March 8, 2023 at 11:22 am, Millburn Police Officer Hunt-Miles responded to a Rawley Place
residence on a report of burglary to motor vehicle. The investigation revealed that unknown actors
entered a 2021 Honda Pilot, sometime overnight. The vehicle was rummaged through but nothing was
missing from the vehicle at the time of this report. This incident remains under investigation by the
Millburn Police Detective Bureau.
On March 8, 2023, at 1:00 pm, Millburn Police Officer Ford responded to Nordstrom at the Mall at Short
Hills for a report of theft. Nordstrom associates reported that employee Tania Blaise, age 30, of
Irvington conducted fraudulent returns totaling over $913.00 and theft of merchandise, value $165.00.
Blaise was arrested and charged with shoplifting, obstruction and theft by deception. She was later
released on her own recognizance.
On March 10, 2023 at 4:19 pm, Millburn Police Dundon responded to Apple at the Mall at Short Hills for
a report of theft. Apple associates reported that a black adult female wearing a black zip up jacket and
blue leggings and three juveniles, selected several Apple pencils and left the store without paying. Apple
security attempted to stop the female, but she fought with them and got away. Total value $357. A
suspect vehicle was located and impounded. This incident remains under investigation by the Millburn
Police Detective Bureau.
On March 10, 2023 at 4:59 pm, Millburn Police Officer Wichelns responded to a Deerfield Road
residence on a report of burglary to motor vehicle. The investigation revealed that unknown actors
entered a 2021 BMW x5, sometime overnight. The vehicle was rummaged through and sunglasses were
missing. This incident remains under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.
On March 11, 2023, at 8:29 pm, Millburn Police Officer Manuyag responded to Macys at the Mall at
Short Hills for a report of theft. Macys associates reported that Sharik Boyd, age 51, of Newark
shoplifted a Polo Jacket and a hoodie, total value $546.50. Boyd was arrested and charged with
shoplifting and possession of burglary tools. He was later released on his own recognizance.
On March 12, 2023, at 5:12 pm, Millburn Police Officer Palmer responded to Ruth’s Chris at the Mall at
Short Hills for a report of fraud. Ruth’s Chris associates reported that Waleed Strother, age 45, of
Thomasville, NC, used a stolen credit card to purchase food. The investigation led to the arrest of
Strother, who was charged with Forgery, Impersonation and Credit Card Fraud. Strother was later
released on his own recognizance.
On March 12, 2023 at 1:57 pm, Millburn Police Officer Reid responded to a Taylor Road South residence
on a report of residential burglary that occurred sometime in the past three weeks. The investigation
revealed that unknown actors forced entry into the home and ransacked the bedrooms and other areas.
The actors stole an undetermined amount of jewelry and cash. This incident remains under
investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.
On March 13, 2023, at 17:20 pm, Millburn Police Officer Matos responded to Burberry at the Mall at
Short Hills for a report of shoplifting. Burberry associates reported that two unknown females and an
unknown male stole a purse. Officers Kelly and Ford assisted in locating two of the individuals in the
mall. The investigation led to the arrest of Diamond Burgan, age 33, and Jonathan Williams, age 47,
both of Philadelphia. Burgan was charged with three counts of shoplifting and Williams was charged
with receiving stolen property. Burgan had open warrants and was remanded to the Essex County
Correctional Facility and Williams was later released on his own recognizance.
These are accusations. All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they enter a guilty plea or
are found guilty in a court of law.
