Case Update May 22, 2023

On May 13 2023, at 3:27 pm, Millburn Police Officer Dundon responded to Walnut Ave on a report of a Robbery of a postal mail carrier employee. The victim reported that two unknown black males wearing black ski masks and dark clothing approached him on the front lawn of a Walnut Ave residence and demanded his postal keys and then threatened to rough him up for them. The Victim then ran in an attempt to escape the suspects. The two male actors were able to catch up to him and push him to the ground. The actors then wrestled with the victim and removed the postal keys from his belt loop. The actors were seen leaving the area in a silver Mercedes Benz sedan. The victim suffered minor injuries. This incident is being investigated by the Millburn detective bureau.

On May 14, 2023 at 11:31 pm, Millburn Police Officer Bifano stopped a green Ford Edge at Millburn Ave and Main St. for driving the wrong way on a one way street. The investigation led to the arrest of Keith Mannino, age 50, of Westfield, for suspicion of driving while intoxicated. Mannino was charged with DWI and later released to an acquaintance.

On May 16, 2023, at 8:00 am Millburn Police Officer Lyons responded to a Highland Ave residence on a report of theft of a vehicle. The reporting person stated that his vehicle, a 2022 grey BMW 430, was stolen out of his driveway the night before at 1118 pm. The key fob was left in the vehicle. The vehicle was later recovered in Irvington. This incident remains under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On May 17 2023, at 9:15 am Millburn Police Officer Hunt-Miles investigated a report of a theft of a vehicle at the Upton, at 1 Fineren Way Short Hills. The reporting person stated that he parked his vehicle, a 2015 BMW 5 series at the Upton at 2:00 pm, unlocked and with the key fob inside. At 8:00 pm the same night the vehicle was missing. The vehicle was later recovered in Newark. This incident remains under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On May 19, 2023 at 6:33 AM, Millburn Police Officer Ford responded to a Clinton Ave residence on a report of residential burglary that just occurred. The investigation revealed that unknown actors entered the house through an unlocked rear window and ransacked the downstairs area including the kitchen. The actors stole 2 apple iPods and a key fob for a BMW X7 which was parked in the driveway. The actors then exited the house and stole the BMW. This incident remains under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On May 19, 2023 at 3:00 pm a Marion Ave resident responded to Millburn Police HQ to report a theft of a UPS package from her porch. The package was valued at $255.00. The resident reported seeing a male (No further description) running from her porch with the box in his hands. The actor got in a passenger seat of a silver Honda (No further information).

These are accusations. All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they enter a guilty plea or are found guilty in a court of law.
