Goals and activities for the Birdhouse Build-a-Thon program:

• Engineering: Build 2-3 birdhouses of various materials
• Math/Tech: measuring and assembling wood & cardboard materials
• Geometry: introduction to 2 and 3 Dimensional Design
• Design: 3 types of bird feeders and wind chimes
• Sustainability: use of sustainable materials in constructing bird houses with eco-friendly habits avoiding microplastics
• Environmental Awareness: learn about local bird species, their importance to our ecosystem and preservation
• Art: Paint with non-toxic paints and decorate birdhouses
• Biodiversity: Installation of birdhouse will provide shelter, bird nesting and protection for local birds species
• Community Engagement: building together will foster a sense of community pride and environmental responsibility
