The Twerkshop: Using Our Hips to Heal

Join Emmé de la Sol at The Common Earth Company for a hip opening, sacral chakra aligning, and mind awakening workshop all about the healing power of twerk! We’ll learn how twerking aids in emotional release and increasing hip + knee mobility, reframe our views on twerking within Black culture, and so much more. This workshop will include discussions, meditation, and movement (yoga + dance), so wear something cute and twerk friendly. Mats will be available, but feel free to bring a bolster if you need some extra cushion. Throw ass, feel better!

Emmé is an artist, witch, and, real cool bitch from Brooklyn.

Emmé White (RYT-200) is a multi-talented yoga instructor, workshop leader, and wellness practitioner specializing in Vinyasa, Restorative, & Yin Yoga, meditation, and energy work. She has over 20 years of personal yoga practice and incorporates her passion for doula work, teaching, music, and poetry into yoga instruction. Emmé prides herself in creating inclusive, judgment-free spaces for individuals to learn, grow, and heal.
