This out and back hike will explore a less-traveled part of Ringwood St. Park. Starting from Ringwood Manor, we'll make our way to the Cooper Union trail to the top of Governor Mt. for spectacular views of Wanaque Reservoir and the surrounding mountains. Ringwood Manor (Skylands/NJBG) Morris Rd (End), Ringwood, NJ 07456** **From I-287 Exit 55:** Go north on Ringwood Ave. (Rt-511) about 7 mi to Sloatsburg Rd; turn right for 2 mi to Skylands sign. Turn right onto Morris Ave, go 1ΒΌ mi to intersection near Manor House, (Eagles Gateway); continue straight ahead. Go past Parking lot A and the Information Kiosk Now follow the one way road to Parking Lot A. **GPS (41.1227, -74.2385) - that is for Lot B. You will pass Lot A on the way to B.** **From Suffern @ I-87 & I-287 Interchange Exit 15A**: Take Rt-17 north 2 mi to Sterling Mine Rd (Rt-72). Right exit at Sterling Mine Rd (becomes Sloatsburg Rd. in NJ), go about 4 mi. Turn left at Skylands Botanical Garden sign, and proceed as above.
