Winter paddles can be canceled last minute due to variable weather.❄️
**PREREQUISITES TO RSVP**:
1. volunteered **AT LEAST** 4 shifts in 2024 during our public embayments AND 2. completed 2 trainings with our boathouse in 2023/2024 AND 3. completed kayak/sup level 1
**Craft**:
* Sea Kayak - only if completed a wet exit and show control of your kayak * OC1/OC2 - Ke Aloha *supporting* paddlers with a Ke Aloha coach approval * SUP - only if completed 2+ mile round trip * Surfski - only if completed 2+ mile round trip
**Come prepared**:
* Drysuit required! We may have one you can borrow. A wetsuit might be acceptable depending on temperature * Neoprene gloves and booties or water shoes * Spare clothes in a dry bag * Bring cash/cards if you want to eat * Water in a reusable bottle * Sunscreen and hat * Anything else you may need to spend 2+ hours on the water
**Timeline:** 8:15 AM Arrive at the boathouse 8:30 AM Safety briefing hard cutoff to arrive. Whoever does not make it by this time will not be able to join 9:00 AM Move boats to the beach 9:15 AM Depart from HCCB 10:15 AM Arrive at Morris Canal 10:30 AM Land and stash boats
90 minutes to eat and relax
