T{P}U is Hudson County’s longest-running weekly poetry Open Mic! Open to anyone, with a $5 suggested donation (not expected every time!) that helps us pay annual features and take care of our local poets in the event of travel to NYC performances.
Poetry, monologue, comedy, song all welcomed in community. This is a moderated Open Forum / safe space where the audience interacts with the artists! Usually facilitated by Ed Majian, the current Washington Park Poet-in-Residence and occasionally by other poets on the Unfold team (more or less same unique format).
Whether you're interested in creating, presenting a piece (5min slots), simply witnessing others present or the thoughtful discussions on current events, you’ll catch a uniquely inspiring vibe.
* We begin at 7 PM. Signup sheet at venue; please sign up by 6:55. * Two rounds with a 10-15min intermission at roughly 8 PM. During this time, feel free to chat with some of the other attendees or purchase food and beverages from our hosts, Caffe Maria. * End time: promptly (most of the time!) 9 PM. :) Follow on IG to see content of weekly Unfolds.
