Let’s visit the Montclair Art Museum to see the exhibitions and then join the Diwali Celebrations also hosted on the Museum grounds.
Diwali, the festival of lights, commemorates a triumph of light over darkness and is a time for all to gather and celebrate new beginnings. Couldn’t we all use an upbeat celebration of new beginnings?
Extracted from their website: “Spend the afternoon enjoying vibrant music and dance performances, trying your hand at kid-friendly crafts, and capturing special moments in the photo booth. Visitors will have the opportunity to sit in on book readings by South Asian authors, learn about South Asian NGOs and Indian textiles, browse one-of-a-kind goods from local vendors. We can indulge in sweet and savory bites from an array of food trucks. All offered by AAPI (Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders). We hope you will join us for this uplifting day of music, fun, food, and light!” We can nosh as we get our steps in walking through the booths and shows.
