Join naturalist and botany scholar Audrey Bartow on a lifelong community-led project to record and photograph the native flora of Lenapehoking.

On this edition of our weekly program series, we’ll connect the dots between two different parklands and the spaces in between them.

The Secaucus Greenway loops around the tidal marshes of the Hackensack River estuary. These waterways teem with vibrancy and life as countless creatures from turtles to fish, butterflies and birds take refuge along their migratory paths.

Schmidt’s Woods standing at a mere 14 acres, contains some of the very last woodland habitat in all of the Meadowlands. This small island of trees hosts the crucial resources that forest organisms (including flowers) need to survive.

This easy walk is under two miles. All ages and levels of nature knowledge are welcome.

Dress for the weather and conditions.
