In honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month and Mother's Day, the library is partnering with The Diversity Center and the Council International de la Danse to present an Indian Dance Workshop for children ages 6 and up and their mom, grandmother, aunt or other special grown-up they want to celebrate with!

Alen, a dynamic dancer skilled in Kuchipudi, Mohiniyattam, Bharatanatyam, and Bollywood, founded Alen's School of Indian Dances in Stockholm. Committed to her true passion for dance, Alen excels in her craft. She's performed at renowned events, including the receptions for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Sweden's King and Queen.

Get ready to be captivated by her mesmerizing moves and infectious energy and enjoy a 2-hour free workshop learning different Indian folk, Bollywood and semi-classical dance styles.
